Just like technology, Audio Obsessions has drastically evolved over the years. Our company was started in 1997 by R.P.I. Electrical Engineering graduate Adam Smith. At the time Adam had started the most advanced, detailed, and caring Mobile Electronics business the Capital District had ever seen.
In 2006 Audio Obsessions started to expanded our business into offering Smart Home Technology Solutions. This was the natural evolution for everyone here at Audio Obsessions. It had most of the same fundamentals and rules of Car Audio, but it was on a much grander scale. "I mean... Who doesn't like speakers everywhere in their house to work by pressing a single button?" Since 2006 our Smart Home Technology department and offerings has gown exponentially!
In 2013 Audio Obsessions made the decision to close the Mobile Electronics portion of our business. This allowed us to focus all of our efforts into offering some of the most custom, easy to use, and advanced Smart Home offerings in the business.
When people ask the staff here at Audio Obsessions what we do for a living... We all have the same answer!
