How Do I Program a Compustar FOUR (4) Button Remote?
1. Be sure to have both or any remotes that you want, "learned" to the remote starter brain present when programming. If you only have one (1) of your two (2) remotes present when "learning", only that one (1) remote present during, "learning" will work on your vehicle. Your second remote that is not present will be dropped.
2. Put your car key in the ignition.
3. You have to, "cycle" your key five (5) times back and forth between the "ACC" and the "ON" position within three (3) seconds. After cycling it five (5) times, leave the key in the ON position. You will hear VERY FAINT, "clicks" coming from the remote start brain.
4. Within three (3) seconds of cycling the key and leaving it in the, "ON" position you have to press and release the one (1) button on your remote. You will hear a VERY FAINT, "click" coming from the remote start brain.
5. If you are learning a second remote, repeat step five (4) with the second remote right after pressing and releasing the button on your first remote.
6. After you have learned your remotes, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING FOR ATLEAST FIVE (5) SECONDS. You will hear a few VERY FAINT, "clicks" from the remote start brain confirming that the brain has exited, "learn" mode.
7. Remote start your car and verify that both remotes have been programmed to your vehicle.
8. If either of the remotes are failing to program verify that the batteries are working. If both remotes have power attempt to relearn both remotes again.
